Purchase Terms

Who processes your payment

Checkout is handled by Gumroad, which acts as merchant of record. Gumroad collects payment and any applicable sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt. Your card details go to Gumroad, not to us.

All sales final

All purchases of Pass HQ digital products and programs are final. There are no refunds, including for partial use, change of mind, or a property that declines to fund a purchase after the fact. Read the product description and the Compare page before you buy.

Paid in full, and the one monthly option

Every product is sold paid in full, with one exception: Kitchen Leadership Program Self-Study is also offered at $97 a month for six months.

  • The monthly plan costs more in total than paying in full ($582 vs. $549). Choosing it is a commitment to all six payments.
  • If a monthly payment fails or is cancelled, units not yet released stop releasing until payments are current.
  • The plan ends automatically after the sixth payment.
  • The Plate Cost & Menu Engineering Kit, The Food Cost Formula System, Sponsored, Guided, and all Team Enrollments are paid in full only.

When your property is paying

If your property or employer is paying, or reimbursing you, choose "My property is paying" at checkout. That path is paid in full only. We send an itemized receipt to you and to the accounts-payable address you provide, with your PO number if you give one. Reimbursement arrangements are between you and your employer.

A property paying for or reimbursing a purchase does not make it a sponsored enrollment. Sponsored means a chef or GM holds the sessions and scores the capstone.

Team Enrollment

  • A property can enroll several people from the same property at once.
  • Sponsored Team: first seat $1,495, each additional seat $997, up to 6 seats online.
  • Guided Team: first seat $4,995, each additional seat $2,495, up to 4 seats online. Guided seats are limited.
  • Larger groups: use the Inquire page.
  • At checkout you name each seat-holder and their email. Each person receives their own enrollment email and materials. The purchaser receives the receipt and a roster. A seat left unnamed at checkout stays reserved, and the purchaser gets a link to name it later.
  • The property is the purchaser. Each named seat-holder is the licensee and owns their own work. A seat is non-transferable once claimed.
  • Team seats train people from one property. Any group sessions include only that property's team.

Upgrade credit

What you paid counts toward any higher-tier Pass HQ product for 30 days.

  • After purchase you receive a single-use credit code by email for the price of the product you bought.
  • It works once, only on a higher tier.
  • It expires 30 days after your purchase date — or, if you bought before Kitchen Leadership Program enrollment opened, 30 days after enrollment opens, whichever is later.
  • Credit is not cash, cannot be transferred, and cannot be combined with another upgrade credit. If you upgrade more than once, each new purchase issues its own code for the new product's price.

Regional pricing

Some products show a lower price in some countries. Regional pricing is set automatically at checkout. The Guided tier is one price worldwide.

Kitchen Leadership Program — Guided

  • Guided is by application. Submitting an application does not reserve a seat or charge you anything.
  • We reply within five business days. If you're accepted, you receive a payment link, and your seat is confirmed when payment is received. If you're not accepted, nothing is charged, and Sponsored is open to you at any time.
  • Seats are limited. When all seats are filled, the application form closes until a seat opens. There is no waitlist.
  • Guided includes exactly three virtual touchpoints with Chef Lockard per seat: a 30-minute kickoff, a 30-minute midpoint check, and a 45-minute capstone review with written notes. For a Guided Team, the kickoff and midpoint are held once for the team; the capstone review is per person.
  • Guided does not include on-property visits, ad-hoc access, or email support outside those touchpoints.

Program length and access

  • Kits and The Food Cost Formula System: the files you download are yours to keep under the license in the Terms of Use.
  • Kitchen Leadership Program: built for about one hour of study a day, five days a week, over six months.
  • Self-Study, monthly ($97 × 6): two units release each paid month.
  • Self-Study, paid in full ($549): the full curriculum is delivered at purchase. Work the units in order — each one builds on the last.
  • Sponsored and Guided: the full curriculum opens at enrollment. Sponsor sessions, capstone scoring, and Guided touchpoints take place within six months of enrollment.
  • Worksheets and files you download stay yours under your license.

Products marked "Coming soon"

Some products are listed as coming soon with an email sign-up. Signing up reserves nothing and costs nothing; we email you when the product is available. We don't take pre-orders.

Your property's numbers stay with you

Pass HQ never asks for, receives, or stores your property's financial data — P&Ls, invoices, or vendor pricing. Coursework stays on your own systems. There is no upload field for financial data anywhere on this site. Guided capstone review uses an indexed or method-only version your chef approves before it is sent: no property names, vendor names, or contracted prices.

Chargebacks

A payment disputed or reversed after purchase ends access to the product and any program seat.

Everything else

These Purchase Terms are part of the Terms of Use, including the limits on liability and the no-guaranteed-results terms there.
